This Black Zirconium band with exotic Red OakBurl wood inlay is made to order. First, we precision grind a 5mm wide groove with a diamond coated grinding wheel. Then, the wood inlay is carefully inserted into the groove and coated with our proprietary formula, which protects the inlay from the elements. The inlay coating is then polished using high-speed buffing wheels and special polishing compound to achieve a highly polished finish. Black Zirconium bands begin as a light-gray Metalsimilar to titanium. The black color is achieved by heating the Metalto a certain temperature. Once the Metalhas been oxidized to black it is much more wear resistant than in its natural state/color.
